Branch Christmas Party

Ammon and I were asked to be in charge of the Branch Christmas Party! We enjoyed talking together about what we should do! We decided on having the Primary Children (all 8 that are active) put on a Nativity while Ammon read the scriptures about the birth of our Savior from the scriptures, then I played Silent Night on my flute with another member who also plays the flute, while everyone sang along, then we enjoyed a ham dinner with potatoes, salads, and many different kinds of desserts! We had a very special guest show up at the end and handed out treat bags to the children! It was a success! We planned for 60 people and had somewhere between 52-56 people show up! Everyone complimented us on the ham, it was our first time ever cooking a ham! I'm very proud of Ammon and am thankful for all of his hard work and support in helping this be a night of fun and success!!!
Malachi inherited this little lamb and he sleeps with it every night! It made perfect sense to ask him to be a Shepherd! Gideon and Jeremiah were two of the wisemen!

When Santa appeared, Gideon jumped up and got in line! That is the first time he wasn't shy! He asked Santa for more toy cars! His letter that he wrote to Santa at school asked for clothes and a book!  I'm glad he doesn't ask for the same thing and gives Santa a choice on what to bring him!
Malachi was very shy and didn't want to have anything to do with Santa until he saw that two other children received a bag of treats for sitting on Santa's lap! He ran up and climbed up on Santa's lap then, but covered his face until he got the goodie bag!
Jeremiah was the most shy! He would not go up to Santa until all of the other children had already gone!  Santa had to ask Mommy what Jeremiah wanted for Christmas and when Santa said, "You want a Ninja Turtle and your favorite is Leonardo!" Jeremiah gave Santa the biggest grin and even decided to show Santa how old he is with his fingers!

This was really funny! Our Branch President (The Grinch) sat on Santa's lap (his son) and said that he has already started to steal Christmas by taking Santa's hat! We all had a wonderful time at the Party!
