What a Sweet Moment

General Conference April 2014

We were able to watch General Conference at the Church this time! I was a little nervous about spending two full days with 3 very active boys at the church and trying to keep them occupied! We were able to watch conference on the T.V. in the Relief Society room where we would not disturb the others watching on the Big Screen in the gym! The boys did really good and thanks to my Mom, they had plenty of Conference Coloring Pages and Activities to do! Gideon asked me for his notebook and he took his own notes about each talk by drawing pictures of what he heard! Here is his picture of Jesus Christ!

 

The afternoon session was too much for Malachi to handle! He made a pillow out of the bags that we brought all of the activities in!

Birthday Gifts!

 All three boys have been asking and asking for Wall E and finally they got it! :o) They are excited for the other movies as well!

 Our dear friends, Britton, Karie, and Rhonda gave Gideon this Geo Trax Team remote control railroad village!

 When we were looking for some clothes for Gideon, he came over with this shirt and said, "Mom and Dad, I really like this one!" We couldn't resist! :o)

Gideon is 7 Years Old!!!

I can't believe it! Gideon is 7 and feels like he is So Big! He requested me to make mice cupcakes for him to take to school for his party! When he saw them, he said, "These are very cute Mom, but I hope that the girls don't scream when they see a mouse on their desk!"

Gideon asked for a Peter Pan cake, but there was no way I was going to attempt to make that, so I asked him if it would be alright for me to make Captain Hooks Pirate Ship! He said, "Yes!" I was going to draw Peter Pan and Captain Hook on the sails to look like they were fighting up there like they do on the movie, but I ran out of time! I also ran out of time and didn't get more railings made, so I had to improvise and use cannon balls as a border for the front and back of the ship!

As you can see, Gideon really loved it and really liked how we used the candles as the cannons!

New Passion-Health and Fitness

I was on Facebook one day and one of my friends shared her progress photos of her losing weight! WOW! What a transformation!!!  I started talking with her and asked, "how are you doing this?" She introduced me to Shakeology and Beachbody workouts!!!  I chose one out of many exercise programs and signed up for her challenge group that she was hosting! I chose P90X3 and started drinking Shakeology!  

I have forever changed my life for the better and am really finding joy in what I do each day and love taking care of my body!!! From being a part of her challenge groups and now becoming a coach myself, I have learned how eating clean (healthy) food, exercising daily, taking time for me to read something that will benefit my spirituality/mental health, and believing in myself has really helped me to know that I am taking care of my body that Heavenly Father has given me!!! I am still on my journey of losing weight, but I am already feeling better and happier!!! Here are my photos that I took after I had already lost 6 lbs!!!

Random Treasures Captured

St. Patrick's Day Fun

We had a very special treat for St. Patty's Day this year...Granny and Granddad spent a few days with us!!!  We made ham, green eggs, and whole wheat English Muffins for dinner! We ended with this fun healthy treat! :o) The boys really liked how we had marshmallows for a cloud and chocolate as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!!

We have really enjoyed watching the Turkeys come into our yard each day! It is fun to watch the males try and gain dominance in the group of about 23 Turkeys!!! Sorry that they are not the Best Pictures, but they were taken through the window, so that we didn't scare them off when we opened the patio door! :o)

Only One in Family Under 30!!!

I can't believe it! I just turned 28! I am now the only one out of my siblings who is under 30! I Love Being Young!!! :o)  The boys told me that I had to make a heart shaped cake to celebrate! Here is my attempt at their request! It was a fabulous birthday!!!

Treasure Island

Gideon had the opportunity to be a Seagull in the School Play of Treasure Island! He had practice Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. till 5:30 p.m. and then performed twice on Friday! One night after practice, he said, "Mom! I LOVE doing this play!!!  It is SUPER FUN!!! I can't wait to do it again next year!" When we went to his first performance on Friday, he came out and covered his face! He did get over his shyness by the next performance and had a HUGE SMILE on his face the entire second performance!!!  We are SUPER PROUD of our Big Boy who is following in his Dad's footsteps and will one day be a great performer in many musicals and plays!!!
