Happy/Sad/Oh No...

I had an interesting day this week! I went to see the Specialist (my regular Dr. wanted me to see him because of my history with premature rupture of my amniotic sac) and had a surprise ultrasound! This ultrasound was mainly to check the uterus, cervix, and placement of the placenta, but the ultrasound tech asked if I wanted to see what the sex of the baby was! She didn't know that I know how to read ultrasounds and she asked this question when she was showing the picture of the critical area on the baby! I already could tell what the baby was! I of course said yes, because you all know me and how I am very impatient!!! I was so happy to see that we are going to have our 3rd little boy!!! The sad part was that Ammon was at work and unable to be there when we found out! Also, this was an early ultrasound, as you can tell by the ticker, I was only 16 weeks along when we found out what we were having! As I drove home and had an hour to myself to think things over, that is when it all hit me like a big boulder clambering down the mountainside, "Oh No! Three Boys! What am I going to do?!" Let's just say that I am feeling overwhelmed with the thought of having three boys, but feeling grateful that we are already prepared with clothes and everything for the baby and that even though it is a boy, he is just a baby for a year and all of the "boy fun" doesn't begin until they are at least a year old! Also, I have great resources to go to, my sister and two cousins who have 4 boys! Let's just hope that I have a girl after this one!

Now that I have a 1 year old boy, I think I know what you are talking about...constantly chasing them, getting them out of trouble, trying to contain them...and so forth. Our boy is much more active and getting into things than our girl ever was. Good Luck. Three boys, that's so cute!
