So much fun!

We have enjoyed going to the park every day! The park that is close to my apartment has four purple slides and two swings and is in the shade all day long (which is very nice)! Gideon loves to play the lion or tiger and growls at all of the boys and sometimes even the girls even though I tell him not to scare the girls! Gideon enjoys eating lunch at the park every day and when he wakes up he says, "Momma, go to the park to play with my friends and eat lunch?!" I then reply, "Not right now, the kids are not there yet, so we have to wait for your friends to get to the park!" Gideon has had fun riding his bike every day as well and even went on a long ride with mommy and daddy! Gideon experienced his first flat tire! He was so sad that he didn't get to ride his bike for two whole days because daddy couldn't fix it till Saturday! Gideon would look at his bike and poke his cute little lip out and say, "Oh, poor bike! Bike at doctors to get better, huh mommy!" :o) The other day we were waiting for Ammon to come home from work and were playing I Spy out the bedroom window, when all of a sudden Gideon says, "Mommy the Bald Eagle took my Baton!" (This is from the Little Einsteins movie, which Gideon loves to watch!) We then proceeded to play Little Einsteins for an hour till Daddy finally got home (Poor Ammon had a long day that day and came home from work an hour and a half late!)
Jeremiah is growing up so much! He got two teeth at the end of July (right when we were moving) and for the past month he has been trying to cut three teeth on top and one on the bottom! Poor little guy has such a swollen mouth that none of the teeth can poke through, but finally on September 1st the first tooth on top poked through! He has been finally sitting up on his own, but gets so excited about toys and big brother that he kicks his feet and looses his balance and falls (of course he misses the pillow that I set next to him to fall onto)! We went to his 9 month well child check (if you can believe that) and in the past three months he grew 2 full inches!!! The little guy is still little because his weight couldn't keep up with his height and weighs only 16 pounds! The doctor was concerned about this and basically told me that Jeremiah has out grown my milk and that I have to now feed him just formula along with baby food! I am really upset with this because Jeremiah is a very good nurser and I do not want to stop that bonding with him right now and spend money on Formula! I have continued to nurse him and have mixed formula in his baby cereal in the mornings, so I hope that he gets the extra calories that way and gains weight! I now have to take him in monthly for a weight check! The doctor also says that Jeremiah has a Gross Motor Delay because he would not lift his head up when the doctor did a pull up with him! I on the other hand do not agree with the doctor but am still going to go through with the referal to the Childrens Development Center and see what they do. I think that Jeremiah is not delayed because the doctor came in and did a brief history (not all of it and I was a little erked by this) and then said he had to go check on something and that he would be right back...30 minutes later he came back and finally did the exam on Jeremiah! First, I forgot to tell you that I had to wake Jeremiah up to go to the doctors, then strip him down to nothing but his diaper, and then by the time ther doctor did the exam an hour after we got to the doctors office, Jeremiah was tired, hungry, and cold! (No wonder he didn't hold his head up for the pull up)! Oh well, more hoops to jump through!
Ammon is enjoying his job, but he gets a little bored now and then! He says that he really misses counseling with the children or adolescents! He is enjoying the time off of work to spend with the family, but I'm afraid that he has enjoyed it so much that he has forgotten that he still has to study for his Masters License Exam! He doesn't need his Masters License to work at the current job, but he would like to get his licensure anyway! Ammon is getting really excited for hunting season and has already planned out from opening day till the end of the year the days he is going to take off of work and go hunting! The only problem with taking off of work, he has to do comp time, so he works extra on each day to save up hours that he can then apply to the days that he does not work! That makes it a little frustrating that he works late the other days, but it is worth it!
I have enjoyed playing with my boys and knowing that my foot was not broken it was just extremely popped out of wack and has been swollen so much from that that it hurt to walk on it! I got it popped back into place, but it sometimes still gives me pain! I am planning on canning peaches and applesauce soon and hopefully make some more jerky as well!
All is well with us and we hope and pray that all is well with you! We miss you and would love to hear from you if you want to call us, since that is the only communication that we can do everyday! :o) We are so grateful for the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us and we are grateful that we are in His hands always! Out of Touch with the World

Hey! Since we moved, we have not been able to get the internet yet, but I have a few moments here at my parents house to be in touch with the world of internet to catch up before we go out camping for the next five days! The move went relatively well, with no adventures to talk of, but we think that I might have broken my foot right below my ankle during the move (since I was helping Ammon move the Gun Safe, since in both places the men that promised to come and help didn't show up and because my dad has hurt his shoulder and elbow and can not lift heavy things)! I am not sure if it is broken, but I have been walking on it for the past two weeks and now can not bend it, lightly touch it, and can barely get around by limping! The sad part is, we don't have insurance yet and no money, so we don't want to go in to get it checked out, but I don't know if I can continue being a mommy with my foot like this or worse! Gideon has enjoyed helping me put things away and was totally surprised one morning to find that Mommy and Daddy have a BIG BED!!! (We had to put some of our storage under our bed, so we raised our bed up on to cinder blocks! We almost need a step stool to get into bed! =o) )! Jeremiah helped the stress of moving again by cutting a tooth! He now has a very darling cute smile with a little white tooth shining! Ammon is loving his new job, but has had to work 10 hour days M-F to make up some time since he will be gone all this next week for our Family Reunion! We are not too pleased with the management of our apartment and feel that they have breached the lease already and are now trying to look for a new place to live or seeing what can be done to deal with the situation at this place! Oh the wonderful world of renting! Oh well! I will, for now, put that behind me and try to enjoy the Family Reunion camping, hiking (as much as I can do), Huckelberry picking, swimming in the lake, and taking many many cute pictures of my darling, precious boys! I'm sorry that I can't upload any pictures (I asure you that I have many pcitures that I would love to share)! Well, hope all is well with you all and hopefully we can figure out the internet before the rest of this year is gone! Love ya all!

Good News/Bad News

So, on July 9th Ammon received a call from the state of Idaho asking him if he would like to work for them as a Case Manager in Children and Family Services! He was so excited because when he had his interview with them a week before, they said that he would get a call from them by Wed. if he got the job. Since, they hadn't called on Wed. he thought that he didn't get the job and was a little bummed! When he told me that he got the job offer in another city, I was a little stressed and overwhelmed! I told him that we needed to go to the Temple and see if it was right for us to move to Twin! I of course do not want to move! Well, we couldn't find a babysitter, so I watched the boys while Ammon went to the Temple! He came out and said that he feels like this move will be a good move and the best thing for us right now! I am still having a hard time accepting that! Maybe before we move (on the 23rd) I will be able to go to the Temple and find peace! Well, Ammon called and accepted the job on Monday the 12th while we were there looking at apartments to rent! We found one after a very long day of driving, looking, and calling phone numbers that no one answered! We are excited for this apartment because it has a fire place in the living room and is two bedroom, one and a half bath, new carpet, new vynil, new microwave, new stove/oven, and the best part (tells you how old the apartment is) a radio installed in the kitchen! It has a nice walkin pantry for food storage and a nice walkin master closet! It is on two floors and has a carport also! The bad news is that we won't get to really enjoy the new swing set that is coming together very nicely, we have to rent an apartment instead of being at a nice house rent free, miss all of the produce from the garden that we planted, and have to figure out how to pack up all of our stuff to move it (luckily it was all put in storage so, once we find a way to get the stuff to the new city, it should be an easy move)! The good news, is that it now has a temple which will only be a few blocks away from us! Yeah! Well, once we get the move and get internet, I will do more posts from the fun that we have had at Granny and Grandad's place (so keep in touch)!

Graduation

Jeremiah

This is what Jeremiah did while we were planting the garden! He loves being outside! The other day when I was able to go for a walk, he lifted his feet straight up into the air and held them there for the entire time while I was walking! He loves to feel the wind blowing on his toes and feet! He is just such a cute boy! Right now as I type this he is gurgling (or rather singing) to me! He loves the wound of his voice! Wish you could hear it!

Woody!

The woes of Motherhood! So, the other day I wasn't thinking and really tired, imagine that, and I forgot to not put Gideon's Buzz pajamas in the dryer. Of course they shrunk, but not too bad because I still put him in them. They just won't lastr very much longer, so we got him some Woody pajamas along with Woody! Gideon loves to do everything with Woody! This has been so good for him as he has had a hard time with adjusting to being at Granny's house all the time! (He has been kind of sick ever since we moved here, poor little dude!)

Crazy

So, I saw that it is almost the end of June and I have only posted one time this month! We have been busy cleaning out my parents house and getting a new swing set/play house stained and waterproofed! This new play area is huge and looks like alot of fun! I can't wait to get it up, but it is going to take a while before it is finished! I'll send pictures when it is finished! We have also had some nice weather, finally, so we were able to get the garden planted! Here are a few fun pictures of Gideon! You can see how he has entertained himself and us while we are running around the house like crazy and moving things from one place to the next!

Moving/Graduation

Where to start...Thursday morning (the 10th) Ammon and I woke up and got started packing up the last little bit of items that we had used for the past few days. I also took time to take Gideon to Story time, while Ammon ran errands. It was such a nice day with sunshine and a light breeze, but at 4 p.m. big dark clouds came rolling in, the wind was blowing, and it started to rain! I was not very pleased because we had moved into our apartment in the rain, and I did not want to move out in the rain! Ammon and I knelt down and said a prayer, asking for the rain storm to blow over us and that the sun will shine once more at 7 p.m. when we were going to load the Jeep and Trailer. Our prayers were answered and we were able to load the Jeep and Trailer without getting wet! We had alot of help from our friends (thanks all of you strong men!) and were done loading the stuff within an hour and 20 min. from start to finish! The best part was watching Gideon trying to be a big boy and help carry things out to Dad!
Friday was a little bit relaxing in the way that we were able to spend the morning cleaning the apartment and having our check out! Everything checked out just fine, and we decided to walk up to Graduation! It was a long walk and poor Mom and Dad probably were not pleased with all of the steep hills we took them up and down! We were worried that it was going to rain on us at Graduation, so we took our umbrellas and coats and blankets. The sun decided to overpower the clouds and shine just during Graduation! Dad and Ammon and I got sunburned, but I got it the worst! I believe that I got Heat Exhaustion because on the walk home I got really sick and dizzy! This sickness and dizziness lasted all day Saturday and Sunday as well! Ammon was so happy to be done with school and we were all proud of him as he was hooded and recieved his diploma! Gideon even cheered real loud for his Daddy when we told him that Daddy was walking across the stage! We were able to get good pictures as we were able to sit down on the field right next to where Ammon was sitting during Graduation! It was great!
Saturday, we woke up at 4:30 a.m. and started loading the last things into the Truck and Car (Such as the freezer, antlers, clothes, bins, pack n play, airbeds, blankets, and pillows, and a lot of other things as well)! The guys did a great job loading, but took a long time doing it! We didn't leave the apartment until about 8 a.m. (this was not the plan!) We then had to stop and fill all of the tires with air (which took a long time) and then had to stop to fill all of the vehicles with gas (which also took a long time)! I don't know what time we finally got on the road, but it was well into the late morning hours! I was dizzy and sick the entire time driving, but the boys did pretty good taveling until we stopped in Dillon to get gas at about 5 p.m. Dad and Ammon were hot to trot and wanted to get home before it got too late, so they went on ahead and left Mom and I and the boys behind. Mom and I decided that it would be about 7 p.m. when we would get to Grandma's house, so we stopped there to give the boys a chance to run around, give our ears a break from the screaming and crying, and to eat dinner! We left Grandma's about 8:30 p.m. and Jeremiah had just had enough of the car seat and cried/screamed on and off the rest of the way home (just a little over 2 hours)! On the last of the drive we had to go through two construction zones while it was pouring rain, windy, and had three deer run out in front of us! We luckily were able to slam on the brakes and swerve and missed all three deer! That of course woke Jeremiah up, who had just fallen to sleep and had stopped crying! We got home at about 11:30 p.m. The guys had had help unloading the trailer and Jeep at the storage unit, but because I wasn't there to tell them what stayed at the storage unit and what went to the house it all got mixed together! That made it very hard and stressful to try and get ready for bed without our pjs and toothbrushes! Jeremiah woke up at the house and wanted to kick around and Gideon got diarrhea! This caused us to not get to bed until about 1 a.m.! What a very long day!
I was still sick on Sunday morning, Ammon was very tired and had a hard time moving, and Jeremiah was still sleeping, so we did not make it to church! We tried to sleep as much as we could, but that wasn't very much. We had to go over to the storage unit on Sunday afternoon and unload the entire unit and put things in piles and put things back into the storage unit in an orderly manner! We then took a truck load of things that belonged at the house over to the house and unloaded it in one bedroom that was ready for us to move into!
Monday morning, Ammon went to Twin Falls for a job interview, which went very well, and I tried to organize the bathroom, so that we could all take showers!
Tuesday we went to the Temple and visited with my sister, who so willingly watched our boys on the spur of the moment (Thanks Danelle!)
Wednesday, shampooed the carpet in the other bedroom and organized the basement and living room, and did laundry!
Thursday, we went to Pocatello where Ammon had another job interview, which went well, and bought flowers and veggies to plant if the weather ever cooperates with us!
Friday, we finished laundry and actually got the flowers and vegtable garden planted as the sun was shining in a clear blue sky! That has been our very exciting, long, and full of adventure week! Now, we are just waiting to hear back from the jobs and make a decision on which one to take! We are so very blessed to be here and are grateful that our Heavenly Father watched over us and kept us safe this past week! We know that He lives and that our Savior loves us and you so very much! We hope that all of you Dad's have a great Father's Day on Sunday and know that we are thinking about you all!

Physical Therapy

When we took Jeremiah in for his 6 month well child check, the Doctor said that he has Right Torticollis. This is where the muscle on his right side of his neck is shorter than the one on his left side. Thus, Jeremiah loves to turn his head to the right and then kink it back to lay his head on his left shoulder. To treat this condition, we have to take Jeremiah to a Physical Therapist twice a week for a while (I'm not sure how long). This is a little difficult because we are moving in two weeks. We did get to see a therapist twice last week, but will not be able to see him for the next two weeks because our insurance ends on the 31st. We are doing stretches with Jeremiah to encourage him to turn his head to the left and to hold his head up in a neutral position when he is sitting or laying on his tummy! Jeremiah is doing pretty good with all of this and doesn't seem to mind too much in the change of positions that I am supposed to hold him in now when I feed him and when I am putting him to bed. At least, I thought that he was doing good, until this morning he cried from 4:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and finally calmed down enough (with me rubbing his neck) to eat and then to go to sleep. He then did good the rest of the day, but then started to scream like that again from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. This of course was while we were at church and while Ammon was teaching Sunday School, so I again had to turn my mind to singing every Primary Song that I knew and to try to block out the screaming and ignore the looks that I got from the other people in the hallway and in the Mother's Room at church. My poor baby is probably sore and tired of all of the new exercise and stretching he has to do constantly when he is awake every day. I know that the stretches and exercises are helping! He is already learning to roll over the other way than what he normally did and is turning his head to look at things instead of arching his back to move his head to see something. I hope that he continues to progress even though it will be a while before we get insurance in the new state and going through the whole process to see a physical therapist.

I had the wonderful opportunity to babysit my friends son that is a week older than Jeremiah! I had to take pictures of the two cute boys learning about each other and holding hands! They are such good friends and we are sad that they won't be able to continue to see each other when we move!

Riding Together

I finally felt like Jeremiah was big enough to sit in the bike stroller/trailer. I now can put both boys in the stroller instead of just Gideon in the stroller and carrying Jeremiah for our daily walks on the nice days! My heart just burst with joy when I put Jeremiah in the stroller with Gideon. Gideon immediately said, "Oh! Baby! Baby alkdndalsdoufds!" I didn't quite understand what Gideon said to Baby, but he spent the entire ride telling Baby all about everything that he saw during our walk! Gideon also loves to hold Jeremiah's arm during the ride and loves to tell me when Jeremiah falls asleep and leans his head on Gideon! What precious moments!

Babies

So, one of my friends posted a picture of her first boy and then a picture of her second boy wearing the same clothes and asked if you could identify which one was which. I thought that I could do this too, but then it wouldn't really be that hard because my boys look totally different from each other! I still wanted to post these cute pictures of my two handsome baby boys!

Gideon and Jeremiah

Gideon likes to lay next to his brother and imitate him! I always get a good laugh at watching him do this! Gideon sure loves his little brother and enjoys playing with him!

Feet and Tongue

Jeremiah has recently discovered his feet! He sure loves to grab his feet and hold his toys with his feet and when he loses the toy, he loves to chew on his toes! He also stops chewing on his toes when he notices you watching him! Here is a picture of what Ammon calls "The Michael Jordan Tongue!" Jeremiah loves to stick his tongue out and smile! He also licks his toys instead of chewing on them! I am always amazed at how different Jeremiah is from Gideon and it is so much fun to see Jeremiah's personality coming out!

Lion King

Gideon loves to watch the movie Lion King! He was so ecstatic when a package came in the mail for him from Grandma and Grandpa Peel! He saw the Safari Animals book and could not wait long enough for Mom to put the animals together! Here he is playing "Lion King" with the animals that accompanied the book! He sat there and played for two hours straight retelling the Lion King story and adding new adventures that he made up himself! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Peel for the great education book and the fun animals! I learned new things about these animals that I didn't know and I am sure that when Gideon gets older he will enjoy reading about the animals that he plays with!

Wow! 27 Years Old!

Ammon was able to spend his Birthday at home in the evening because Scouts was cancelled that night! We were all excited to have Daddy home to celebrate his Birthday! We decorated the house with balloons and streamers and had fun making a camo cake for him! We enjoyed watching him open the gifts that he got (mostly from Mom and Dad! Thanks!) We then enjoyed playing with the balloons! Happy Birthday Daddy!

Peek-a-Boo!

Jeremiah found a new game to play! Every time I go in to his room to get him up from his nap or in the middle of the night to feed him, he pulls up the blanket over his eyes and then pulls it down and laughs at me! He learned this game all by himself and it is the cutest thing in the world! I can't help but laugh every time! Here he is playing the game when he woke up from his nap and we were out taking a walk!
